Registration clerks, schedulers and unit clerks can ask how to do a task in MEDITECH Expanse and see each step on their own screen. The steps follow your hospital's own procedures and set-up, not a generic manual.
Book a 10-minute demoAfter the demo, we’ll set up your department free of charge. A small trial confirms it’s accurate, then a larger trial measures the drop in support queries.
We check every step works before your staff see it.
Outcomer isn’t a library of ready-made MEDITECH Expanse guides. We build your guides from your own procedures, on your own MEDITECH Expanse set-up, and test each one before your staff use it.
Your registration and clinical support staff get the answer on screen, in MEDITECH Expanse and the systems around it, instead of interrupting a colleague or raising a ticket.
Classroom and e-learning cover the main routines. When a question comes up later, Outcomer answers it inside Expanse, from your hospital's own procedures, while staff work.
General answers for the standard product. Your own set-up may differ, and that’s what Outcomer follows.
In one hospital's set-up, staff go to the date of the appointment in Central Registration, find the patient and check them in. In Visit Data they change the location to No Show and set the date to the appointment date, then check in and validate the health card. Your set-up may differ, so follow your own no-show procedure.
When you cancel a patient account in pre-registration status, an optional Cancel Account Reason field can appear in the Cancel routine in registration and bed management. It is not mandatory, so you can cancel without it. The reasons on the list are set up locally. Your set-up may differ.
If you select an account with a future service date or appointment, Expanse can ask whether you want to continue. Choosing No stops the selection. Choosing Yes lets you register, but it can affect the account's orders and other data, and you still need to change the date in scheduling so the visit is recorded correctly.
Yes. Open the patient, select one of the recurring visits, choose Edit and select the appointments you want to change, then save. You can also use the Recurring menu to edit or reschedule a recurring series. If each appointment needs a different change, save them one at a time.
From the scheduler desktop, search for the clinic and go to the date you need to change. Open the calendar for that day, add a day schedule comment explaining the change, and build the new schedule. Your set-up may differ.
In one hospital's set-up, staff open the Requisitions Desktop and select Register Patient. They choose the lab registration type and questionnaire their site uses, find or create the patient, and complete every required field marked with an asterisk. Saving shows the account number, which is used to place the lab orders. Your set-up may differ.
A Room Preference field can appear in the Transfer routine in registration, and in Multi Transfer in bed management. Whether it shows depends on your hospital's version and set-up.
No. Closing the browser with the X may not close your charts or session properly. Log off from inside Expanse instead, for example by using Close All or the Log Off option. Your set-up may differ.
In Find Patient, type a health number or a name as last name, comma, first name. A few letters of each is often enough. Press Enter or click the magnifying glass. If you opened the patient recently, they may also be under Recently Accessed. Your set-up may differ.
In the patient's chart in Expanse Web, click the account number. This lists past and scheduled visits, with a tick against the visit you are looking at. Your set-up may differ.
If your registration and clinical support staff ask questions like these every week, Outcomer answers them on their own screen, using your own MEDITECH Expanse set-up and procedures.
See which MEDITECH Expanse tasks staff ask about most, which procedure answered each question, and whether it was finished or passed to your support desk. Your IT team can export it at any time.
Outcomer never reads, uses or keeps the data in your systems. It finds each box and button by its label, never what’s typed in it, takes no screenshots, and works from your procedures, not your records.
