We check every step works before your staff see it.

Outcomer isn’t a library of ready-made Oracle Fusion ERP guides. We build your guides from your own procedures, on your own Oracle Fusion ERP set-up, and test each one before your staff use it.

Support questions

Questions your staff ask about Oracle Fusion ERP

General answers for the standard product. Your own set-up may differ, and that’s what Outcomer follows.

How do I order something that isn't in the catalogue?

From the Navigator, open Purchase Requisitions under Procurement and choose to create a non-catalogue request. Enter the item description, item type, price and supplier, then add it to your cart and submit it. If the supplier isn't approved yet, there is an option to suggest a new supplier. Your set-up may differ.

Where can I see what happened to my requisition?

After you submit it, the requisition appears in the recent requisitions section on the home page of the requisitions area. There you can view its status and follow its progress.

What can I do in self-service receiving?

As a requester you can receive items against requisitions and purchase orders, view your existing receipts, return quantity-based items to the supplier in full or in part, and correct a receipt quantity if you made a mistake.

My order hasn't arrived but I've been asked to confirm receipt. What do I do?

In the confirm receipt notification, choose the option to say you haven't received it. This sends a notification to the buyer, who can follow up and later receive the items or ask you again to complete the receipt.

How do I create a manual journal?

On the Manage Journals page, choose Create Journal. Enter the batch details, including the accounting period, then the journal details such as ledger, name, accounting date, source, category and currency. Debits must equal credits. Save it, then complete it to submit it for posting.

Why can't I post my journal?

Journals can only be posted in an open accounting period, and all journals in a batch must share the same period. A journal can be created in a future period but not posted until that period is open. If the period you need is closed, ask your period-end owner.

How do I reverse a journal?

Open the journal and use the reverse action for the journal or the whole batch, or select it on the Manage Journals page and choose to reverse it. Pick the reversal period. The reversal is created in its own batch, with a name starting 'Reverses'. Your firm decides which reversal method to use.

Do I need to get my journal approved before posting?

If your firm uses journal approval, you request approval for the batch, then post it once approved. If you try to post without requesting approval, the batch goes through approval first and is then posted. If you edit an approved journal that hasn't been posted, it must be approved again.

Why is this invoice on hold, and can I release it?

A hold stops an invoice from being paid, and sometimes from being accounted. Holds can be placed by the system or by a person. Some holds can be released by hand. Others only clear once you fix the problem that caused them.

How do I hand over my approvals while I'm on holiday?

Open your notifications, show all, and go to the worklist. Under your user name, open Preferences, then set the vacation period rule with your start and end dates. Choose to delegate (the task stays yours but someone acts for you) or reassign (the task moves to them), and name the person. Save it.

Can I create my own named expense report instead of using the expense assistant?

Expenses entered through the assistant are rolled up into a report and submitted to your manager automatically. If you want a named report, use the Expenses web application before that happens. You then need to submit that report yourself, as it isn't sent automatically.

If your finance and procurement staff ask questions like these every week, Outcomer answers them on their own screen, using your own Oracle Fusion ERP set-up and procedures.
