Dynamics 365 Finance has many forms and options, and your firm has set up its own journals, workflows and rules. Outcomer shows each step on your staff's own screen, from your own procedures.
Book a 10-minute demoAfter the demo, we’ll set up your department free of charge. A small trial confirms it’s accurate, then a larger trial measures the drop in support queries.
We check every step works before your staff see it.
Outcomer isn’t a library of ready-made Dynamics 365 Finance guides. We build your guides from your own procedures, on your own Dynamics 365 Finance set-up, and test each one before your staff use it.
Your finance and procurement staff get the answer on screen, in Dynamics 365 Finance and the systems around it, instead of interrupting a colleague or raising a ticket.
Dynamics 365 Finance training explains the standard forms, but your firm has its own journals and rules. Outcomer answers staff questions while they work, from your own procedures.
General answers for the standard product. Your own set-up may differ, and that’s what Outcomer follows.
Go to Procurement and sourcing, then Purchase requisitions prepared by me, and select New. Enter a name and the requested and accounting dates. Add lines either by item number or from the catalogue, then submit it through the Workflow menu. Your set-up may differ.
On the requisition, choose to add an unlisted product. Enter the product name, unit, description, quantity and unit price. You can pick a vendor or suggest a new one, and add the vendor's own item reference.
On the line, open Financials and choose Distribute amounts. Split the line to create extra distribution lines, choose the ledger account or cost centre for each, and set how the amount is shared. Which codes to use comes from your own finance rules.
Open the purchase order and, from the Receive tab, choose Product receipt. Pick which quantity to use, enter a product receipt reference, and set the quantity received on each line. Select OK to post it. You can see past receipts for the order from the same area.
Use the open or pending vendor invoices pages to create an invoice from a confirmed purchase order. Invoice lines come from the order, and quantities are taken from the product receipt by default. Match the invoice to the right product receipt lines, then submit or post it, as your process requires.
Depending on your firm's settings, submission can be blocked if the invoice total doesn't match the registered total, if there are unallocated charges, if the invoice number has already been used, or if invoiced quantities don't match the product receipt. A message tells you which. Fix that issue and submit again.
Use Validate to test the journal for errors. Simulate posting runs the same checks as a real posting without actually posting it. When it is clean, post the journal from the Post menu.
No. Posted transactions can't be deleted. You need to correct it with a new entry, following your firm's correction process.
A journal can be locked while a batch job is working on it. If your firm has turned on the journal unlock feature, a system administrator can unlock it after checking no batch job is still processing it. Ask your support team rather than trying to post it again.
Open the work item and choose Delegate from the Workflow menu. Enter the person and a comment. The item is reassigned to them to complete.
Go to Common, Setup, User options and open the Workflow tab. In the Delegation section, add a rule. Choose the scope (all items, a module or one workflow), the person, and the start and end dates. Tick Enabled and add a comment.
In the Expense management workspace, select New expense report, enter the purpose and location, then create it. Add each expense with its category, amount, currency, date and merchant. Receipts can be captured with the mobile app. Your set-up may differ.
If your finance and procurement staff ask questions like these every week, Outcomer answers them on their own screen, using your own Dynamics 365 Finance set-up and procedures.
See which Dynamics 365 Finance tasks staff ask about most, which procedure answered each question, and whether it was finished or passed to your support desk. Your IT team can export it at any time.
Outcomer never reads, uses or keeps the data in your systems. It finds each box and button by its label, never what’s typed in it, takes no screenshots, and works from your procedures, not your records.
