Every firm sets up Salesforce its own way, so the standard help only goes so far. Outcomer shows your staff each step on their own screen, following your procedures, while they work.
Book a 10-minute demoAfter the demo, we’ll set up your department free of charge. A small trial confirms it’s accurate, then a larger trial measures the drop in support queries.
We check every step works before your staff see it.
Outcomer isn’t a library of ready-made Salesforce guides. We build your guides from your own procedures, on your own Salesforce set-up, and test each one before your staff use it.
Your sales and service staff get the answer on screen, in Salesforce and the systems around it, instead of interrupting a colleague or raising a ticket.
Training covers the basics once. Outcomer answers the questions that come up afterwards, inside Salesforce, using your own procedures.
General answers for the standard product. Your own set-up may differ, and that’s what Outcomer follows.
Open the lead and click Convert. Choose a new or existing account and contact, then name a new opportunity or, in Lightning Experience, pick an existing one. Click Convert again to finish. You can't undo a conversion, so check the details first. Your set-up may differ, for example if your admin has added duplicate checks.
Converting needs the Convert Leads permission, plus create and edit access on leads, accounts and contacts. Creating a new opportunity at the same time also needs create access on opportunities. If your firm's duplicate rules find a possible match, you may have to resolve it before you can finish. Ask your Salesforce admin if your access is missing.
It means your access doesn't cover what you tried to open or change. Common causes are missing object permissions, sharing settings that don't give you the record, field-level security, or a report saved in a folder you can't open. Only your admin can change these, so tell them exactly what you were trying to do.
Often you don't have access to it, because of sharing or role settings. Search also ranks objects you rarely use lower, so in Lightning Experience try Show More under the search results. If lots of records match, use a more specific term. Record IDs aren't searchable.
Open the object's tab, click the List View Controls icon and choose New, or Clone to start from an existing view. Give it a name, add filters, and use Select Fields to Display to choose the columns. The list updates as you go, so you can check the results.
Hover over a field to see if it can be edited, then click it and type the change. To change the same field on several records, select them, edit the field on one, and choose to apply it to all the selected records. Click Save once at the end. Your set-up may differ, as your admin controls which fields can be edited.
Go to the Reports tab and click New Report. Pick a report type, which decides the fields you can use, then click Start Report. Add filters to narrow the records and at least one grouping, which charts need. Then save and run it.
Open the report, click the arrow next to Edit and choose Export. Select Details Only, pick the .csv or .xls format and click Export. This gives you the raw rows without groupings, subtotals or formatting.
Open the record and click Log a Call. In Lightning Experience it is in the Activity area on most records, and in the Chatter publisher on cases and work orders. Add the details and save; it is stored as a completed task. To set a follow-up, choose Create a Follow Up Task from the record's extra actions.
On the record, use the change owner option and pick the new owner. Tick Send Notification Email if you want them told, and choose which related items to move if you are offered the choice. If you can't see the option, you don't have permission to change ownership. If you lose access to the record afterwards, that is expected.
If your sales and service staff ask questions like these every week, Outcomer answers them on their own screen, using your own Salesforce set-up and procedures.
See which Salesforce tasks staff ask about most, which procedure answered each question, and whether it was finished or passed to your support desk. Your IT team can export it at any time.
Outcomer never reads, uses or keeps the data in your systems. It finds each box and button by its label, never what’s typed in it, takes no screenshots, and works from your procedures, not your records.
