Recruiters can ask how to do a task in Bullhorn and see each step on their own screen. The steps follow your firm's procedures and set-up, not a generic manual.
Book a 10-minute demoAfter the demo, we’ll set up your department free of charge. A small trial confirms it’s accurate, then a larger trial measures the drop in support queries.
We check every step works before your staff see it.
Outcomer isn’t a library of ready-made Bullhorn guides. We build your guides from your own procedures, on your own Bullhorn set-up, and test each one before your staff use it.
Your recruiters get the answer on screen, in Bullhorn and the systems around it, instead of interrupting a colleague or raising a ticket.
Training covers the basics, but questions come up mid-task. Outcomer answers them while your recruiters work in Bullhorn, using your own procedures.
General answers for the standard product. Your own set-up may differ, and that’s what Outcomer follows.
Open the job record, open the actions menu and choose Add Submission. Pick the candidate in the Candidates field, add any comments (a submission template can fill these for you) and click Save. This creates an internal submission for the job owner to review, and Bullhorn sets the status to Submitted.
On the job's Submissions tab, tick the candidate, choose Move and select Client Submission. Pick the CV to attach, click Compose Email, then check the contact is in To, the CV is attached and Log as Client Submission is set to Yes before you click Send. Bullhorn changes the status to Client Submission.
Deleting the client submission in Bullhorn does not unsend the email. You can delete the record from the Client Submission section of the Submissions tab, then set the candidate's status back to Internally Submitted. Email the contact to explain the mistake.
Open the job, go to the Submissions tab and expand Submissions. In the candidate's row, click the current status and pick the new one from the drop-down. Submission status is separate from the candidate's record status. Your set-up may use different status names.
The candidate must already be submitted to the job. On the job's Submissions tab, tick the candidate and choose Placement from the Move drop-down. Check the pay rate, bill rate and salary, which carry over from the submission and the job, then click Move, complete the remaining fields and click Save. Bullhorn then sets the status to Placed.
Open the record and choose Actions, then Add Note. Type the note in Comments, pick a Note Action, and add any other records under Additional References. You can tag a colleague with @ or a job or placement with #. Click Save.
Yes. Go to the record's Notes tab, open the Actions drop-down next to the note and choose Edit. A note saved with Additional References is shared, so your edit shows on every linked record. A note saved with About creates a separate copy for each record, so editing one does not change the others.
Bullhorn compares the last name and the first two letters of the first name, and also flags a match on the main email address. If the person already exists, click Cancel and update the existing record. If not, click Continue And Add. The check cannot see records you don't have permission to view.
Open the record you want to keep, choose Actions, then Merge Records. Enter the duplicate in the With This Record field and select Merge. Notes, files, submissions and placements move across, but address, custom text fields and rates do not, so keep the record with the most accurate details. The duplicate is then deleted.
Run a search in the candidate list view, select the records, then choose Select an Action and Add to Tearsheet. Pick an existing tearsheet or create a new one and click Save. Tearsheets hold people only, take up to 2,000 records at a time, and do not update themselves.
Bullhorn skips records with a blank, incomplete or invalid email address, and people who have opted out. It shows you a list of who was skipped. Each mailing also has a recipient limit that depends on your user licence. Mailings go out through Bullhorn, so they won't appear in your own Sent folder.
Bullhorn parses PDF, Word, RTF, plain text and HTML files. On the older parser, scanned or image-based CVs may need typing in by hand. If you parse a CV onto an existing candidate, use Parse as Existing on the Files tab so you can untick fields you don't want overwritten. Your set-up may differ.
If your recruiters ask questions like these every week, Outcomer answers them on their own screen, using your own Bullhorn set-up and procedures.
See which Bullhorn tasks staff ask about most, which procedure answered each question, and whether it was finished or passed to your support desk. Your IT team can export it at any time.
Outcomer never reads, uses or keeps the data in your systems. It finds each box and button by its label, never what’s typed in it, takes no screenshots, and works from your procedures, not your records.
