Housing and income officers can ask how to do a task in NEC Housing and see each step on their own screen. The steps follow your organization's procedures, codes and set-up, not a generic manual.
Book a 10-minute demoAfter the demo, we’ll set up your department free of charge. A small trial confirms it’s accurate, then a larger trial measures the drop in support queries.
We check every step works before your staff see it.
Outcomer isn’t a library of ready-made NEC Housing guides. We build your guides from your own procedures, on your own NEC Housing set-up, and test each one before your staff use it.
Your housing officers get the answer on screen, in NEC Housing and the systems around it, instead of interrupting a colleague or raising a ticket.
Training covers the main processes, but officers forget the steps they use only now and then. Outcomer answers their questions while they work in NEC Housing, using your own procedures and codes.
General answers for the standard product. Your own set-up may differ, and that’s what Outcomer follows.
Go to Rents, then Revenue Accounts. Choose what to search by from the drop-down, such as surname or reference, or use the advanced search. Select the account to open it, and expand the main page to see the account details.
Open the rent account, then choose More, Arrangements, Create, Create Arrears Arrangement. Fill in the payment method, amount, start dates, period and arrangement code, then click Preview Instalments and adjust until they look right before you save. The arrangement covers only the arrears, so the tenant must still pay their rent. Your set-up may differ.
On the rent account, go to More, Payment Methods. End the current method first by using its Row Action to update it with an end date. Then use Create, Create Payment Method, choose the new method and a start date, and save. Direct debit instructions may need setting up separately by your systems team.
Whether you can authorise or delete arrears actions depends on your job role in NEC Housing. If you have the right role, use the Row Action next to the pending action and choose to authorise it. If you don't, the option won't be available and a colleague with that role needs to do it.
From the record, choose More, Notes, then Create, Create Notepad Entry. Pick the note type and tick Highlighted. A warning-type note only pops up when it is highlighted. To remove a warning, untick the highlight and add a new note explaining why.
Search for the main tenant's household, open Household Details from the Row Action, then choose Create, Add Person to Household. Search first to check the person isn't already on the system, and only create a new person if they aren't. Complete the mandatory fields, such as date of birth and relationship to the main tenant, and save.
Find the person in Parties and open their Person Details. Go to More, Contact Details, then use the bulk row action to maintain contact details. Add a row for a new method, edit an existing one, or end one that is no longer used, then save.
A void can only be confirmed while it is still provisional. Once a void is let, closed or cancelled, it can no longer be updated. The status codes and void paths are set by your organization, so your set-up may differ.
They show the message type: E is an error, W a warning, V a validation message, Q a question (often a missing mandatory field) and I information. You must act on errors and warnings before you can carry on. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk.
In advanced search, % works as a wildcard. In some search bars the wildcard won't work on its own, so type part of the value first and then add %. If quick search isn't enough, use the advanced search icon at the top of the search area.
If your housing officers ask questions like these every week, Outcomer answers them on their own screen, using your own NEC Housing set-up and procedures.
See which NEC Housing tasks staff ask about most, which procedure answered each question, and whether it was finished or passed to your support desk. Your IT team can export it at any time.
Outcomer never reads, uses or keeps the data in your systems. It finds each box and button by its label, never what’s typed in it, takes no screenshots, and works from your procedures, not your records.
